On arrival at Entebbe airport, your driver/ guide will drive you to the hotel facility that was booked on the itinerary to rest from the flight. This is where the guide will pick you from the next day to begin your discovery.  Entebbe lays only 45 minutes from Kampala city where our offices are located and along the way are numerous attractive places like the Entebbe zoo, botanical gardens and many more.

Day 2

Today you travel to one of the oldest and largest national parks in Uganda, this park was first visited by John Speke and James grant (first Europeans to visit Murchison) and it was made a conservation area in 1862. It was named Murchison after Roderick Murchison who was the president of the English royal geographical society.

Murchison falls national park is known to be Uganda’s biggest nature reserve. With the powerful Murchison waterfall and its remarkable animal populations, you don’t need to miss this in Uganda. There are superb activities on offer such as a boat safari or Delta safari on the Nile. The river divides the park between a Northern and Southern section as it makes its way through multiple rapids and waterfalls to Lake Albert. Unfortunately, during the war years poachers and troops wiped out the majority of wildlife. Except for the park’s rhino population, fortunately, all other wildlife has recovered fast since. A game drive in the park allows you to be eye-to-eye with the African animal kingdom and you will be amazed by the number of elephants. Also giraffes, lions, antelope, water-bucks, buffaloes, hippos and crocodiles can all be spotted. Game drives take place on the tracks in the northern section which you reach by taking a ferry across the river.

Breakfast is very early in the morning. On your Game Drives, your luck and very good eyes will help you to try and spot as many animals as possible. While driving through the park you will be able to see as many animals as possible. Hopefully, you see them all; elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelope and many tropical birds. They are all there! A professional ranger with extensive knowledge of the park and its inhabitants will join you in your car. The park is especially known for its massive elephant population, a huge array of bird species and big herds of buffalo. You will discover some of the parks ecosystems and different scenery with dense woodland, extensive savannas, and rolling grasslands. As this is a private game drive you can ask your guide to tailor your trip towards specific bird life and/or wildlife if you like.

On day four, you may do a nature walk while tracking chimpanzees, the chimpanzee tracking permit fee will be include in the package cost, this activity is expected to take a day in the jungle with our professional guides
